Looking forward to the hard raid dropping tomorrow. Apparently the mechanics will be changed up some but haven't seen any details leak on it yet.

Group I got in finally beat the Warpriest...its not impossible but certainly more difficult. Everytime he dissolves a pillar he gains a new Taken power. The group stalled at Golgoroth because people wouldn't stop dying. That's not really different except someone in the group becomes an exploding thrall when you jump in the pit. When you get that timer you just have to run away from everyone else so you don't kill anyone.

Spent like 6 hours today on hard mode and about four of them were at Oryx.
Warpriest wasn't that bad, we got it the second time and got Golgoroth on like fifth after some trial and error with the debuff. Beat the sisters on the first go.
The oryx fight is beyond ridiculous with those additional knights. I thought we were going to run through it really quick but boy was I wrong (everyone in the group was 307-309 when we started all with Spindle and ToM which made it loads easier).
I honestly think I'll have to just wait until reset to get more higher level stuff from the chests to get to 310+ before I'll be able to clear it. Just when I thought I was getting this thing down lol.....

Yeah we realized that each pillar triggers it's own power. We took the center and left one (we took him out in two) so we wouldn't ever have to deal with that captain black bubble crap. Literally the worst thing in the game. However the taken hobgoblin blast sucks too I believe that's the middle one.

Actually we went right, middle, middle and beat it in one try after that. The black bubble stuff is easy to avoid and he can't get you in the middle with it on the second wave.
Has anyone figured out if the rewards are like Crota, where if you run hard mode you get everything? It seems like you can still run both and get good stuff because you can get double 310 and under stuff on normal with Shards, and then get the 320 possible items on hard.

I ran hard on my warlock that I had already done normal mode with and didn't get any shards, or anything from the totem or sisters chest.

I ran my Titan who hadn't run normal this week and got double drops.

Yeah I only got rewards from Golgoroth and Oryx doing Hard on my Hunter after doing Normal. Doing normal, especially to get double rewards, will still be very valuable because even after you get all the 310 or better raid stuff, you can use all that to upgrade other legendaries.

It's all the same. You can get double drops like in the other raids, but you're not guaranteed to get that normal drop....just like it's not a sure thing when you run it on normal
