I think there is some hidden mechanic that makes enemies survive with 1 ho when attacks should have killed them. I don't know I never had a problem calculating when I could #yoloswing to finish off an enemy in DS1, but I have died to that multiple times in DS3.

There is a miracle that has that effect, so it isn't impossible. Just saying...

I like Nameless King quite a bit, it's unfortunate that the camera is a shitshow during the first phase. He's the ultimate 'learn his pattern' boss, because any frick up can result in a quick death. I had to beat him on NG+2 last night for a ring.

Best boss - Dragonslayer Armour is my personal favorite. The setting, score, and the fact that it feels like an old fashioned Souls fight. I think the Twin Princes are great, minus the stupid homing magic bullshite in the second phase.

Couple of bosses in NG+3: LINK, LINK

My only real complaint with Twin Princes was the camera fwiw. The homing magic was annoying, but tolerable. Repeatedly losing lock on just makes me want to scream.

A few observations/questions:

1) You are MUCH better at this than me! That spacing!
2) What sword was that and were you powering up the heavy attack or was that just the light attack?
3) How many point do you have on stamina for that character?

They were kinda sloppy, but I was rushing through.

Refined Dark Sword, light attacks only. 30 endurance, but using Cloranthy +2 and grass crest.

I do not believe I'll be going into NG with my current character. I think my next Character will be a STR build with the Dark Sword, and that character will be the one I take into NG+2 for the Plat trophy

The word is they are going to nerf the dark sword. I got it over the weekend and went refined (im also rocking the entire darkwraith set) which brought STR/DEX to B right now for me.

I started out as a DEX character but now im even investing. I'm only level 43 right now but the refined dark sword +6 with the carthus fire sword pyromancy is wrecking people.

I will get every ending except for the Lord of Cinder ending with this character... (save to a flash drive trick)

and just focus on getting all of the items needed for Plat on my 2nd character.

I was gonna ask a general endurance question, I omitted that stat early totally going for vitality to wield the Lothric shield, armor, and helmet staying under the fat roll ratio. Now I'm not wearing it, and the Flynn ring and the ring you wear that increases equipment load has made the Darkwraith armor set pretty awesome (or the dark set + the undead legion chest armor).

Anyways, I'm investing now into endurance (im only at 18 or so) and it just seems to do nothing at all. I can still only swing 5 times with light attack w/ dark sword after putting 5 levels or so into it. I am use Cloranthy ring which helps but does the endurance increase begin to actually make a difference? Im guessing i need to focus most my levels to get END to around 25 to make it matter

I've heard 40 is the sweet spot, but maybe Jombie can confirm.

Softcap information here. I haven't personally verified, but it generally matches previous Souls games. Endurance is worth getting because even if you do no get an extra swing, getting extra rolling or extra sprinting or extra blocking is still good.

With that said, different characters and builds require different state allocation. So your money may vary.

I would say softcaps are much lower than 40/50, more like 28 for vigor and around 30 for end. I think overall stamina is a problem and it needs a buff and pumping it to 40-50 shouldn't be the answer.

It's a ring that's based off of equipment load, so if you have fairly high vit or wearing armor then the ring is useless. It's still almost useless when used effectively.

So the Flyyn's ring give you extra damage with a lesser equipment load. I'm at 48% equip load with a full set of armor and you are telling me the 10+ or so damage points i get from it is useless?

From what I have read, your armor doesn't affect Flynn's ring at all. It is only based on your maximum equip load. So if you are using 25% of said or load or 95%... It doesn't matter for Flynn's ring.

Unless you are going for a very low Vit build.... Yeah it's pretty trash.

I'm not sure on the Stan thing if the is an additional soft cap below 40... I don't feel 40 Stan is nearly as mandatory as it was in DS1.

Endurance is important. Vitality is the trash stat.

Fixed a bug where you might not get items properly while accessing a covenant when a player joins your game.

Some NPCs questline events have been made easier to trigger.

Made the requirement for joining the Rosaria's Fingers less strict.

Fixed a bug when teleporting to Untended Graves.

Amended an issue where kicks were being parried.

Fixed a bug where Crystal Sage would not re-appear after warping in.

Fixed a bug where Dragonslayer Armour would die on its own before you fight.

Fixed a bug where Knight Slayer Tsorig would continue to gesture.

Fixed a bug where Siegward would fail to save Greirat even though the conditions have been met.

Fixed a bug where, when wearing a ring that increases Max HP, the change would not be reflected in some menus.

Fixed a bug where the voice chat icon would show (or not show) according to the settings.

Fixed a bug where the voice chat icon would continue to display when HUD display is set to AUTO.

(Xbox One) Fixed a bug where you can't access the functions Quit Game, access bonfire, or use online play items when failing to connect to an online session.

(Xbox One) Fixed a bug where the game would crash to the title screen when you fail to connect to an online session.

Fine tuned various other things, fine tune performance, and corrected various bugs.
