would have to be stance the editor took, wouldnt it? I mean, I could have some points for each I guess, but thats literally all I have, with Con listed by my name to show my stance during the debate.

It's the editors call on what appears on the newspaper, but he is doing a disservice to Christianity by mocking it (because there will be no potentially violent reaction) as opposed to poking fun at Allah. Christian images have been transformed into commercial entities which make it easier and less personal to make jokes about.

Wait I'm confused, are you con them running a cartoon depicted Jesus in a foul way or not depicting allah?

see, i dont even know where to start on these things, my second debate is fricking easy, but this one isnt because of the different directions it could go.

The second one I fire some reporter for writing on her free time using info gathered from the station. Cake

This one, im trying to think of her line of approach, she knows that and I know she isnt going to make it easy

Im arguing against them running the Jesus cartoon and not running the Allah one. I have to argue against the editor making the decision (i think)

Just say the editor took the path of least resistance in making the decision. At this point in western society some of the taboo attached to making fun of Christianity has passed (more in Europe than US) whereas it is not tolerated from within Muslim society or from outsider. The term associated with it Kafir is one of the worst terms that can be put on someone. I can't recall the last time I heard someone get called a heathen for making a joke about Jesus.

You can morph the debate into what you will. I'd highlight the "path of least resistance" choice he made and expound on why you are against it.

I would rather write a paper than stand in front of class and let them grade who wins.

Well its a paper and I have the debate tomorrow during class. I have to talk for 6 minutes about why public safetly employees shouldnt have the right to strike. Its gonna be hard to expand everything.

Im def going to save those points, and bring that up. I just need more to fill the rest of the gaps, it would be kinda awkward if I never moved past those points
