Yeah it takes a while. Hope you enjoy it like most of us 
It does get better with a full team so what you experience today if you play solo will get better this evening when everyone jumps on.

Got sucked into an 8bit world for a bit. Now most of y'all have the Premium so I can't jump in, I don't think. When the maps are released next week for us peons I will get them and will be playing more. I played a couple of matches this past weekend and still love it. I will play more this week. Another reason is because I go to bed before you even get online.
