It was being lit up by the reviews I have seen.
It is not like some deeply riveting story or anything, but its just fun. I started it off just to get the achievments and I've just been enjoying it. It is sort of the ridiculousness of a COD campaign (last I played was MW3) with the frostbite engine.
It is huge improvement over BF3's story.

BF3 had TDM. It's a good way to upgrade your guns quickly. Stick with us in Conquest on the 4, bro.

Yea I got to the 3rd campaign mission on BF3 and called it quits. I can't make myself beat the campaigns on BF & CoD.
Get to point A and kill this group, then get to point B and take out these guys. Plus CoD being so fricking over the top like a Michael Bay movie. I had to push myself through the modern warfare story just to see how it ends.

I actually liked the MW stories. They were stupid and ridiculous, but I think the set pieces were intriguing. You weren't fighting in generic jungle set #4,523. It was Virginia. The White House. New York City. That was fricking cool.

You can play TDM if you want, but I think you would get bored. There's no point to it.
