nVidia Shield and In Home Streaming

So this whole quarantine thing has me rethinking my in home gaming strategy.
Is the Shield the best way to do Steam Link and/or Geforce Streaming? And are those the best options for streaming mainly a Steam library anywhere in the house?
It seems I could probably slim down to the Shield only and get rid of my Xbox One.
Can't decide, but my PC collection is all Steam and not Games for Windows. And I have way more Steam games than Xbox/MS games, so now it just makes sense. And at this point, the PC is getting all major releases like Control, Sekiro, FF XV and anything I would want to buy. there could be no reason for a dedicated console.
Anyone else doing that?

Steam Link is discontinued, but it still works, and I'm sure you could still find one. I use it every day. It's awesome.
