Nintendo Update and Rumor thread (some SIAP): TP connections with Zelda U etc.

Just a few little tid bits of information:
- Eiji Aonuma hints that there may be a connection or two between Zelda U and Twilight Princess. That some of the things that are in Zelda U may make you want to revisit TPHD and play through parts relevant to these apparent connections. This to me suggests a few of the following:
1. Zelda U is a direct sequel to Twilight Princess
2. Zelda U follows the child timeline, which includes OoT, Majora's Mask, and obviously the aforementioned game above.
3. Zelda U is a direct PREQUEL. I say this because Link, in all gameplay and trailer footage, is wearing an unconventional outfit as far as the Zelda Universe goes, AND he has Gerudo gauntlets. This would actually put the game, if there is a connection between the two, before TP, seeing as how the Gerudo are nowhere to be found and practically, for all we know, extinct.
Moving On:
This next section is a little bit more out there, but makes a good bit of sense anyway.
Several Pokemon games have been based on real life cities and states such as France, New York, and obviously some parts of Japan. However, seeing the trailer and reveal for Pokemon S&M, there have been some interesting correlations between Hawaii and the region of choice for these next two games. There is a building shown in the concept artwork that we saw a slight glimpse of in the trailer that is almost an exact replica of a well known building in Hawaii. Not only that, but think of this for a second.
How many gyms are there in a conventional Pokemon game? Eight.
How many main islands are there in Hawaii? EIGHT.
In the video I'm going to link you to you right here, this guy basically puts all of what I'm saying into a better perspective as well as providing additional proof and details of some points mentioned. It really is quite crazy how far the series has come from a simple top-down RPG where you have to catch 100+ different creatures whose names are goofy little puns and plays on common words. (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres; All Pokemon names using Spanish language for 1,2, and 3 as a suffix to different words describing 3 different elements)
Pokemon S&M Theories
Really hoping that they continue the trend from OR/AS of orchestrated music combined with some rock and metal.
And finally, I cant express enough how much I freaking love this battle theme.
(Will Link Zelda article(s) once I'm back home)

I though Twilight Princess was a direct sequel to the childhood timeline. The one where The Hero of Time left and died in the Lost Woods searching for Navi. And the skeleton warrior that shows Link how to fight in TP is actually the spirit of the Hero of Time.

That's not possible since it has been stated many times that the TP hero is blood related to the hero of time (confirmed by Nintendo and the Hyrule Historia). To me, that means that OoT Link probably porked Malon later in life and had a variety of kids, spawning a long line of farm hands which eventually led to the TP Link.
Everything you've heard about that Majora's Mask garbage is convenient and situational conjecture. It's already been disproven.

Eh, since they released the book they've started tracking it.

I think the Hyrule Historia book is awesome and all, but I am not a fan of them trying to connect it.
I like to think that one of the stories of Link, Ganon, and Zelda is the real one and that all the others are misinterpreted retellings. It is a Legend after all.
