Looking to get back into N64 games but don’t have a console and don’t feel like buying one off eBay for $100+
Is there a way to maybe download games to a PC safely?

After the crackdown you needed some kind of browser addon to be able to dl their roms on emuparadise I'm pretty sure. Used to just be point and click but idk if that's the case anymore unless they've changed back.

Yeah they got cracked down on. A lot of the roms are gone entirely and the bigger ones are hosted somewhere else.
Vimm is where I've been getting my roms lately.

I recently played through goldeneye and Ocarina of Time on project 64. I went online and just googled the roms and found them easily and had no hassle downloading.
This is very recently like within the last 3 months.

I don’t know about the PC emulator scene but there are numerous consoles and handhelds which will do N64 emulation to various degrees.
Best option, though, is probably getting original hardware and an N64 version of Everdrive so you can just have one cartridge with every game in the system library on it, give or take ones requiring special hardware to play (Hey You Pikachu being a big one).

If you have a mid-level PC, Project64 is perfect. CPU is important here - I have the top 4th gen i5 which works great.
You can buy an adapter and use an original controller or get one of the USB ones.
But I’d recommend using a Gamcube controller for your thumbs and palms sakes.
