Just downloaded this today. Never thought of getting it until my buddies started talking about it last night. Watched a couple of youtube videos and I was sold.

I can already tell I'm going to get lost as frick.
I wandered off a little too far from my shack and walked across a frozen lake to an island. Nightfall was coming so I had to build a dirt house to shelter me from the mobs. Took me about 1 and a half in game days to get back to my house.

Somebody explain what a seed is to me. It asked me that when I started my new world. Also Hogdaddy had a spring trap door or something. Walk on it and it opens. Can bad guys open the door that way?

a seed is a specific world that has been created already, not a random one.
for instance, type in "gargamel" or "diamonds" and it will give you that particular world when you spawn.
there is a list of seeds back on page 30-something
