It’s official: Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has has broken all previous Xbox LIVE Arcade digital sales records, selling more than any other title in the first 24 hours on Xbox LIVE Arcade. I just looked at the leaderboards and there are over 400,000 people playing…so that will give you an idea at how well it is doing.

He had made like $80 million off of the PC version last I saw and that was months ago. Considering the PC version is still selling like crazy and now this he is well over the $100 Mil mark.

I just don't see how you follow this. I mean for him and his new company it has set the bar so high for them that there is no way they have something this successful again but I guess it really doesn't matter cause he is set for the rest of his life.

He won't top it but he'll be able to (or sell the right to someone to) milk the brand with merchandise, updates for pay/subscriptions, and sequels.

Yea I doubt he updates this one forever but he has said when the sales ever slow down he may release the source code to the public.
