Yea, the one in the end zone the guy definitely had about 3 steps on my SS, but I think it was like a 40 yard pass halfway across the field so it was a little short so it became a jump ball.

Problem that you have is you know you have a fast QB therefore you try and over use him. I knew to watch your QN sneaks and options because of that fact. If you mixed more of the send the wrs out create a hole and then use the QB you'd be more unstoppable.
Pretty much I knew to play the backs in and half the time I used a spy and you were ineffective. The few times you actually busted huge runs with your QB is because you were on a pass play deep and I had you covered and you broke free with the QB around the sidelines which is how you scored the first TD. As far as your red zone goes... I would use your running back more and short out routes or catch a back out the backfield.
I would forget about the option the field is too small and stop running with the QB out of shotgun so much... If people like myself knew it was coming your starting too far behind the line as it is and it's a big risk, Instead with a QB that fast use more roll outs as you have the option to pass or run.
Just my two cents but your defense is pretty good... Least against my weak team.

Thanks for the input, and I agree with pretty much everything. I looked after the game and my running back only had 8 carries. #4 (who if you didn't notice, is also my nickelback who had a pick...how's that for multi-dimentional) had 8 carries and like 9 passes. Then my First string QB who has 87 speed, only had 1 carry which was a sack.
I don't use my 1st string QB enough just cuz my backup has 93 speed and it's more "sexy"
Sometimes I run the option just to keep the defense honest and turn it basically into a QB sweep in hopes of 3 or 4 yards and make it 2nd and 6 or so. UVA's playbook only has like 2 sets that aren't shotgun, so I pretty much have to run shotgun. But I should be way more effective on offense considering my blazing QB's and my solid running back. Your d-line was dominating my o-liine for the most part, though.
I think with your team, you do a good job running the ball and your playaction is very good. With me you just got in a hole and had to start passing. I think you roll out to much so whenever it was 3rd and long I just ran my ends to the sidelines and dropped 8 in the coverage. Just try to stay in the pocket a little more and know the routes really well so if your 1st option isn't open check down to your 2nd or so. Just my opinion. I don't know if you even have any user games left.
But I'm glad we got all that over with and sorry for our little bickering..

Yea it's all good... I don't think I have anymore user games this season but I def need to adjust to the passing game. I tend to not try and stay in pocket for the reason it usually collapses on me and my QB is not fast enough to escape anything as you could tell. That's why I tend to like to roll out to try and put some space out there to try and give me some time to get my wrs open.
I only have one Wr that's any good, The rest always drop the pass or miss it completely usually. Hopefully I can get some good recruits in and make a difference, I lucked out and scored a pretty good wr of course you knew that since you were after him hehe. I have some pretty good players recruited that have me high on their list right now I hope I get who I am after.

I don't have shite recruited. Nothing but 3 stars and one really good guard...wahoo. Next year is gonna be rough as I lose my RB and both QB's. Definitely have to adjust the gameplan next year.

nothing but 3 stars... that sucks. I have 1 3 star that is interested in me. the rest are 2 and 1 stars. I got a visit out of a 4 star OT and i'm hoping i might be able to snag him. but besides him my recruiting class is gonna suck. I was hoping to beat oklahoma but just couldnt hang in there. If they wanted to score then no problem, OK TD in about 4 plays.

got my game in, I restarted at the beginning cause I picked the wrong playbook. It was first play of the game so I don't think it hurt anything.
Posted on 8/13/09 at 9:49 pm to LSU Fan Forever 13
we're only waiting on three more people to play. It looks like we can advance early if they can get their games in soon

Did my recruiting late last night and should have my game done by around 11 tonight.

The 9th ranked Missouri Tigers took on the #1 ranked Texas Longhorns and held on for a dramatic 20-19 come from behind victory... The Tigers stopped the Longhorns on a 2pt conversion after Texas scored to go up 19-13 with 1:23 left in the game. Mizzou offense gets it into gear and drives down the field for the go ahead touchdown with 23 seconds remaining to go up 20-19. I fail on the 2pt conversion but the game was already in hand... Go Tigers... get ready Colorado... You are next!!!!

hammond i have a couple restarts the first one was because of a power outage and the second one was because my wife woke up really early and needed me to do some stuff around the house. hope thats not a problem
Posted on 8/16/09 at 9:19 am to trux83LSU
i understand about the wife thing. i started my game for this week and had to quit too b/c my wife wanted me for house chores too
Posted on 8/16/09 at 9:57 am to Hammond Tiger Fan
Why dont you just pause the game until you are done with your chores instead of starting over.. I cant imagine quiting and having to start a game over to do something if I was winning.. IMO
Posted on 8/16/09 at 10:17 am to PLAYBOI11
I had just started it wasn't that big a deal
Posted on 8/16/09 at 11:58 am to trux83LSU
I have a restart, too. I was changing defense and I guess I hit the "family play" button. I got the ball first and it was total weird so I quit after 2 plays.
