This happened the other day, the extraction timer was at 10 seconds and I was the last person alive when I got knocked out. You best believe I was spamming A and when the timer hit zero we got a victory

I don't think I got it. 
My weapon packs haven't had shite in them and I've been stuck on bronze up until late Sunday. I think I got two silver extractions, but not against the reapers.
I'm sitting at level 66 and still only have the Mantis sniper. I've purchased prolly a dozen spectre packs.
WTF am I doing wrong here guys?

I just go with veteran packs.
3 vetran packs tend to land me more useful items and upgrades than 1 spectre pack.
Spectre packs are good if you need a level three ammo upgrade, which are insanely useful if you're taking on gold/silver challenges.

Spectre packs are your best bet for solid weaponry. I'm too impatient and I always go for Veterans, however.
The weapon lottery just seems to despise you is all.
I'm in the 90's on my N7 level and I'm still rocking the Mantis, so I feel your pain. I've unlocked a ton of characters, but not many weapons worth getting excited about.
Truthfully, the weapon lottery is the only thing that keeps me playing. I hate it, but I love it at the same time. There aren't enough maps and enemy types to keep things interesting IMO. It's so satisfying when you get an unlock that's worth a shite.

I got the Graal Spike Thrower in my first spectre pack and I'm still rocking that bad boy. Charging that thing up + adrenaline rush means I can take out a brute on silver all by my lonesome.

Yeah, I was doing that at first and wasn't getting shite, so I started holding out for spec packs. I did get the Falcon, which is pretty cool, but nothing else.
My freind is only level 40 and has better weapons. He laughs every time I get shite on after buying a pack. It's kind of a running joke right now.

I haven't tried the Spike Thrower with a soldier yet. that + adrenaline rush sounds borderline unfair.
I typically use it when I'm running around with my krogan sentinel. Although he's generally 95% berserker melee rage and 5% fire support.

I think you're right, but I've never won any game of chance.
I have leveled my Mantis up to level 10 though. It works well with my level 20 Krogan infiltrator and Falcon on Silver.

Meh, frick weapons.
I don't even use them on my vanguard really. I have one pistol in case shite hits the fan, but usually Biotic Charge + Nova messes the majority of shite up in Silver.
Always fun charging a Banshee or Brute.

everybody uses Vanguard in the lobbies I go to.
Renders my krogan melee fun-time useless. Which is why I run infiltrator now. I snipe everything before the biotic charges get out of control. And going invisible makes picking up fallen vanguards a snap. Seems like for every good vanguard, there's about 40 shitty ones.
And you gotta be careful charging banshees and phantoms. I learned that lesson first hand. one hit melee deaths are no bueno.

I've finally learned this about halfway thru ME1. I always get my arse kicked b/c I shoot over and over and over.
Once chick kept kicking my arse while Thorian Creeeprs gang rush me. Warp + Lift + Overkill = that bitch was dead before she turned the corner
I'm also Vanguard fwiw. Single player obviously. Never played MP on this game. I didn't think it would be any fun

The last thing many vanguards see is a Banshee. They'll charge a group of cannibals and then "teammate is down"

Majority of people I've played with are borderline retarded.
I'm trying to pump through the single player again on Insanity, but with the difficulty and shitty ending; it's going to take me a while to finish.

I take it you were disappointed with ME3?
I think once I finish all three I'll be done. I'm not one who replays a single player campaign or rpg, regardless of how good it is or the multiple options in terms of final ending/outcome. Just too many games out there to play and I don't put in a ton of time playing the ones I have now. I've been playing ME1 for over a month now. 30 minutes one day, an hour the next, 3 hours one day, don't play for 4 days....pretty much how it goes with every game I play.
