I know the big spoiler that happens and I know it’s not a good decision. But the first is my favorite game ever, I was wondering if 2 was still a fun game to play despite that narrative decision

It is. It's an incredibly well-made game and a complete technical marvel. It's a little self indulgent and is several hours too long, but it's still a great game and absolutely worth playing.

The steath gameplay is rock solid and better than the first. The pacing has issues and while the story pissed me off I did find it compelling.

I waited a long time for it to go on sale to buy it and it is a very very good game. Even if you dont enjoy the story as much as 1 it will suck you in and they still are unmatched when it comes to this genre of gameplay. Its truly a masterpiece third person shooter.

Yeah I’ve gotten past the main story gripe already, but honestly I love the Ellie/Dina partnership and its very fun so far
