anyone else grow up playing these?
KQ III was my favorite
The best part was fricking up the spells and being turned into the spell, ie the cat cookie spell, if you massed up you became a cat and had to restore the game.

3 and 4 were both great.
I absolutely remember being turned into a cat cookie.

Played the first 7.
Most fun I had was probably 6, as that was when they had enough experience using point and click rather than typing to make the game not feel so clunky. Didn’t like KQ V much as a result.

I actually thank the KQ games for helping me learn to type. They absolutely helped.

Same but I started on old fart games like Scott Adams’ Adventure series and Infocom games before the Quest series.
The other games taught me to type, the early Quest games taught me how to type fast because it didn’t pull up a dialogue window while you were typing… action continued while typing.
