Your next area is the Undead Settlement, but you have to beat Vordt of the Boreal Valley to get there.

Thanks, Sic. Got the ukichtanga sword from the beginning. Just cheesed the dude with my bow. Grinding out to get to 16 dex so I can try the new blade out.

So, I farmed him up to a lvl 25. Upgraded the Japanese sword 2x and my bow 2x. Really enjoying the sneak (spook spell) where I can walk up right behind people and backstab them. Or hit them from far away and watch them look about and wonder who just did that.
About to go in to fight Vordt. Hopefully, I can have all my health potions and a few embers with me.

Yes. Took a while. I had resigned myself to having to stop for the night and try again today, but finally executed almost flawlessly. Well, for me at least. I still had 8 estus uses left. But up until that point I was getting a little angry with that fight.

almost every side quest involves a lot of steps that are very easy to miss.
ds1 was similar.

This game is essentially golf. You hit a million bad shots and you're about to break every club you have, but then you hit that one perfect shot and you want to play another 18.
