Just got new laptop need advice

on a good game to play. I used to play City of Villains and loved it. What would be a game that allows you to customize your character and have good PvP?

I was just thinking yesterday about how ridiculously replayable and group friendly CoH/CoV was.
Restarting with a new character and your friends are going after the Reichman? No worries, someone sidekicks you for the mission and you are good to go. Tired of doing the story arc missions? There are hundreds of player created missions you can run for XP and goodies.
I really miss that game.

About the closest thing out there is DC Universe Online, but it's not as good as CoH/CoV so you'll probably find yourself disappointed.
Good superhero MMORPGs just aren't a thing these days, which is sad because in movies and TV they are blowing up.
