I live off Oneil and have Cox cable for internet. Up to last week I would get 120kbs speed on downloads and never had lag issues online w/ my PS3. Now all of the sudden my downloads max out @ 30kbs and all my games lag like a mofo. Tried resetting modem & router to no avail. All a week before the show comes out.

Anyone else w/ cox n BR experiencing this?

I live in the same area and our internet has been lagging really bad the past few days. My brother has been complaining about his PS3 lagging as well.

I have Cox near campus (man that sounds bad!) and have no problems. It may be that they need more bandwidth in your part of the city.

I had similar problems a couple years back. I ended up calling Cox and they explained the issue was due to work being done on the lines in my area. After I did some complaining, Cox upgraded my connection for free until the work was complete.

Could be a bunch of things. Could be the wires have gone bad outside.

I used to lag and drop connection a ton.

Finally a cox guy came out and said the connections and lines were a mess. He fixed em and it went from slow with drop offs to over 1mb per second at max.
