Doesn't take me that long. I already have the gamestop powerup card or w/e. So they usually just ask me if I want to reserve any other games, and I just tell them "I've got all the games I want preordered already" and they drop it.

I think the employees are given a quota on how many pre-orders they have to sell in a given period..which is why they push them so much.

Sounds like you had a run in with a douche working that day. Gamestop guys usually are pretty cool keeping me updated on stuff and not giving the pressure.

When I bought my PS3, the guy that sold it to me had NBA 2K11, NCAA 2010, and some shitty hunting game. I also traded in FF13
NBA 2k1: $1
NCAA 2010: $5
FF13:$6
Shitty hunting game: $12

Backwards as hell. I'm guessing maybe rarity plays a factor...but I'd imagine the rarer the game the less chance of it getting sold.

Obviously. They are just trying to sell products. It's a business. Also a lot of people prob dont know exact dates of when shite is coming out, so the guy may ask 100 diff people, and one guy goes oh yeah i forgot that was coming out and preorders it. Its a win for their store.
Same with them trying to sell you on power up rewards, or insuring ur disc for 3 years. Some people actually want that stuff.
Do you get pissed when mcdonalds ask you if you want to try their new mcshitten? Or any place for that matter is trying to sell you something even though you know ur not going to get it?

I actually got more for fifa 11, than i did for killzone 3. And i traded them in for BF3.
I have fifa 12, will never play fifa 11 again. So yeah ill take $13 for it.
ETA: Just checked my receipt, Got $13.24 for fifa 11, and got $12.74 for killzone 3.

Yes, I pick and choose the games I trade. I'll never trade a game until the replacement in that series comes out. Unless the game sucks arse and I dump trade it.
I was tired of Mass Effect 2 (after 3 runs) and shelved it for months. I pulled it out last week and I'm really enjoying it again. Especially with ME3 coming up.

Wont trade if its not worth it. Plus you got to look when they doing deals. Pretty sure i got an extra few bucks on those games cus i traded it towards buying bf3.

That's completely understandable and I apologize for not having the "good stuff". Some of those extras we just can't get through distribution.
It does suck but we've been facing these types of issues going on 14 years now and we're still going strong.

I know 2 Gamestop GM's pretty well. The employees are evaluated based on their pre-orders. Sometimes they get bonuses or raises based off of them. Although they are a little crazy about getting you to pre-order sometimes. Their new guy got transferred because I complained about him hounding me, now that's customer satisfaction
