Like it?

Anyone have it rooted?

Trying to decide between the One X and Galaxy S3.

Both have very similar specs, however I love the look of the One X way more than the S3, and the HTC Sense 3 UI blows the TouchWiz UI out of the water from what I've read.

With all this being said, I think I want the One X but was wanting some opinions.

Upon browsing the interwebz I did find that HTC is rumored to be releasing the newer verson of the One X, the XXL, soon. So should I wait without knowing just how far off the XXL is from releasing? I'm not in any real rush, just tired of iOS and want to switch.

IDK thats a tough call. If you know your absolutely done with ios then don't wait for the iphone.

I had several iphones and I switched to Android. I will still say Adroid is a better platform, but this Samsung Infuse is a piece of shite. This is my third one within a year. It always randomly restarts and comes back with ten less percent points of battery. Lags all the time. Will randomly not charge.

Anyways One X looks bad arse and if I didn't have another year on my contract, Id go buy one.

I think I speak for many when I say I've always hated Samsung phones. The Galaxy series seems to be about the only decent one but I've still read a lot of bad things on Samsungs TouchWiz UI.

I think I need to pop into an AT&T store and play with both of them, but also like I said I've read the new One X (HTC One XXL) is rumored to be coming very soon so idk.

i almost bought the one X last week.. i was going to be paying around 450 because i'm not eligible for an upgrade until december.. the guy walked to the back to get the phone but i changed my mind and decided to wait until i could upgrade..

i played with the phone for about 20-30 minutes and while it didn't have any features that completely blew me away, i was very impressed with the speed of the phone.. the camera was exceptional also.. i've been an iphone guy since they came out, and i honestly have no gripes about my phone, i just wanted to try something new out and the one X seems like it's worth a shot..

i'll be watching this thread closely for more input

I played with the infuse in the store and it killed the iphone 4...turns out to not be the case. Take a little time and read reviews...check out pocketnow videos on youtube. They probably have a comparison or indepth looks at both.

Exactly where I stand. I've had the iPhone since launch and upgraded yearly to the newest one, and while I still live my 4S, I'm jut tired of the same OS after over 5 years of it. And while the iPhone 5 will be cool and all, iOS 6 offers nothing and while the new phone could be a cool design or whatever, it's still going to be the same now stale OS.

The One X was my first choice when browsing phones and a few reviews, and the S3.

But now that I've read about a possible One XXL coming soon to match and rival the S3 specs, I don't wanna rush when I would definitely get it over the S3.

I am getting a s3 when Verizon decides to ship the pre orders and the first thing I do after activating it will be rooting it.

i have rooted an eris, galaxytab10.1, droidx, thunderbolt, xyboard, and another htc phone.

just let me know if you need help with anything.

custom roms, kernels (if your phone can support it)

i had this on my phone for a while LINK

you get better battery life and such depending on what is implemented into the ROM

i have a HTC eris that is junk out of the box but if you use this script LINK

that script makes your phone a lot less laggy, i have the fast! part of that script running every 20 minutes on my Eris, this frees up memory on it. it is like a ram cleaner.

let me know if you need help with anything else

I have the AT&T One X with Clean Rom 3.1 on it. Best phone I've ever had.

ETA: Coming from Iphone 4 and Galaxy S2. Loved my Iphone, but like you, just got sick of iOS.

I've had zero issues whatsoever. My girlfriend has the thunderbolt, and I agree that it's a POS.

I've had Clean Rom on it for over a month now, and it's pretty stable. Haven't experienced any lag, phone hasn't frozen up or reboot once, battery life is about the same as my Iphone 4. The dev did a pretty good job with this ROM.

I work at AT&T and make sure since I am a salesman, to really play and test all the devices. I got my S3 on Saturday and I think this is by far the best phone on the market. I know it can be nit-picky but outside the software, I don't like the uni-body of the One X. I like the fact that I have 80GB of storage and 2GB RAM.

I think 2GB of RAM is overkill on a phone and only there for the spec factor, as for the storage yeah that was one big con but I've had the 16GB iPhones for years now with no problems and a ton of music on them so it's not end all by any means.

As for the Uni-body, I don't think I've seen a comparison review that has picked the S3 design/body over the One X. The main thing they all say is that the S3 feels flimsy and cheap, and whn taking the back plate off they thought it was going to break every time.
