When I play My Career modes on both, I find myself playing every game in NBA, but simming through all but a few NFL games on Madden.

What does Madden need to do to make the games more fun and compelling?

Don't stick you at QB. MyCareer in 2K is fun because you can create the kind of player you want to be at whichever position

Make things more difficult, as well.

You can be Steph Curry, but still have to use the shot meter or you won't make shite.

I’ll be the one to start the company bashing

It’s EA, they’ve been mailing it in for years now when it comes to Madden

There are some things I would change around in Madden’s player career mode, but the main thing is not having your teammates be dumbasses, particularly running backs. I get that they can’t see the entire field at once. I get that sometimes they miss holes, but frick me if I call a HB Dive and there is a hole up the middle a sumo wrestler could get through, why the hell are they pulling a Trent Richardson and trying to bounce it outside for a 2 yard loss?

Granted, this was based off of face of the franchise for last year, but still.

Noob, huh.

I am just giving an example. Turn off the meter, you still have rhythm shooting

Where as all passes from a QB go exactly where they are supposed to go, if his attributes are high. You determine trajectory and skew. . .but not accuracy.

Something like what 2k has could make QB play more immersive and compelling. Just a thought

2K’s career mode was meh the last time I tried it. They wanted to force you into shitty archetypes and it’s obvious they want you to by VC to improve your player. EA is the king of micro transactions and even they don’t do that.

2k18 was that way, and people bailed on it

2k19 and 20, I got to 99 pretty easily without paying a dime.

At 99, the games were still challenging and satisfying

As far as the archetypes, Madden does the same shite. They just have fewer.

Lol no. Granted, neither one of them have games in The Show’s ballpark, pun intended.
