HDMI splitter/switch advice needed

Just gave my son a switch and the only HDMI port for the tv dock easily accessible is on side of the tv. That HDMI port is where our fire tv cube was plugged in.
Is there something I can plug into the side HDMI port of the tv that would allow for both the switch dock HDMI and Fire cube HDMI to be plugged in at the same time, avoiding cable wrangling from Switch dock to fire tv?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I have one for my office TV. Just go amazon and google hdmi switch.
I can look up the one I have, it's a 3 way switch, has a button top to switch, is powered by being plugged into the tv and automatically picks up the feed of what source is on.
They are also relatively cheap. Mines was like 12 to 15 bucks and I have zero complaints. For a few dollars more you can get one that has a remote that let's you change between sources.

You want a HDMI Switch. Not an HDMI Splitter.
A splitter is intended to "split" a signal to 2 destinations/ 1 input-2 outputs.
A switch will have 2 inputs and 1 output.
plug the nintendo to one input and the fire tv into the other input. then plug the switch output to the tv. the switch will have a button so whenever you want to swap signals, just press the button.

Like others said a switch or you can plug another hdmi in and leave it loose where be can plug in his video game and unplug it if you can get to the other plug ins

I would prob get a 4x1 in case you need to add anything.
Also they make them now that will auto switch to whatever you turn on.
