Having graphic artifact problems with my laptop

This is happening on any window that is opened on my desktop. Doesn’t seem to be any problem in game. It’s a zephyrus 501 with a 1080 Max Q.
Coyote or anyone else have opinions, I run GeForce experience, so have the most up to date driver.

Are the artifacts always present or only when/after you move a window?
What happens if you connect an external monitor and duplicate the screen? Does the issue duplicate on the external monitor or is it restricted only to the laptop monitor?

Always there. Used to go away when i minimized a screen and popped it back up. Also on external screen when hooked up.

If it's going onto other screens then it's the card/drive and not the monitor (that's often an easier fix).
What I would recommend is downloading the latest driver (if you don't still have it in your Downloads) then completely deleting the driver being used (this is different than just uninstalling it, I can walk you through it or you can Google it if you don't already know how to do it).
After reinstalling it I would look at your processes to see what could be running in the background that could cause this. Things like TeamViewer, Steam, etc that have an overlay feature may have had their files corrupted somehow. Disable one from running at startup then reboot. Rinse and repeat until nothing is running on startup but Windows (not even updaters, like Java).

Good call on the overlay part. I had rebooted many times (I never have them autostart) and the artifacts only happen later on in the day. Pretty sure I had Steam and Uplay open. I will test some of the launchers to see what happens.
