It's probably bigger, especially when factoring in underwater.
This picture is supposed to be to scale. I put the other maps on top (kind of overlap each other) But if you were to cut them up and place them only on land they might fit.

I can't wait. I'm gonna get it for the ps3 and if and when it comes to next gen I'll still probably get it 
Maybe they would do some sort of deal for those that bought it for ps3 and want to digitally download it for ps4?

I wouldn't think it is at least. Maybe half the size? But it's going to be so much denser, especially in the city
It would be sweet if you could actually enter every building in GTA. I'm not sure it will be THAT detailed though
