I’m about to start GTA 5 for the first time on PlayStation 5.

I understand Rockstar has supplied cheats so you can spawn cars, temporary invincibility, lower wanted by cops status, etc.

I understand these cheat codes are only usable offline in Story Mode on the disc only.

I’m told the cheats do not work on GTA 5 Online. Then I’m told the cheats DO work online but you could get banned if you use them.

Anybody know what the truth is about this?

The cheats online are the standard online fps cheats. God mode, invisibility, go off map, etc.

There are no cheat codes for online like they have in single player.

Nope.

Don't know about PS5, but on PC you could use HACKS for the same abilities. The game generally doesn't "ban" the people but if you get enough complaints then you eventually get stuck on the same server with all the other people who get tons of complaints.
