Looking for recommendations for a gaming monitor for my son for Christmas. He currently has an old computer monitor that he uses with his Xbox, but he’s asking for a better one.

Go to your local Walmart and check. They have gaming monitors and usually have a few options on sale for great prices.
Just look for one with at least 140HZ and 1ms response time.
No need for a 4K monitor really with Xbox

Pretty solid deal. If he’s a super competitive FPS gamer you might want a 24 or 27 but otherwise go with this

Its showing $281 for me. But I did get one like this, maybe last years model, but the 32" LG Ultragear 1440p 165Hz for my son's PC and it looks a plays really good. I believe I got it around black friday last year for $209.

the 34 inch LG from costco with 165hz is decent - usually around $180 on sale

It's crazy. If I search it, it comes up in the search at 169. Once I click on it, its 281. Maybe I'm getting a stupid tax or something.
