Holy shite... What a story / journey. At first I hated the ending, but after thinking about it more, that was the perfect ending.

That being said, I need a game that will not eat me up inside for awhile... What game should I play?

TLOU will mess with you for a while

They did a wonderful job with the story. There is a short DLC for it, but I didn't like it much. Might be cheaper now though.

It's bundled with the remastered version

Yeah, this, I really don't have much of a desire to play it. I'm also very glad that the last of us 2 is a ways out...

You should play the Dlc 100% and then move on to the Uncharted collection if you haven't played those.

FWIW, I felt the same way at first but decided to play it anyway. I really enjoyed it and it filled in some gaps in Ellie's backstory (and a small part of Joel's) - things that were hinted at in the main game but never fully explained. Having said that, the gameplay in at least half of it is more story / dialogue driven and sort of experimental, with maybe an indie game feel. That turned off a lot of people to it, but I liked the change of pace. The best part of it is when they start mixing in hunters with the infected, something they never did in the main game because of time constraints.

Outside the hunters vs infected section, I thought the dlc combat got in the way. The story was good but but I wish it had no combat. I think they felt like they had to.

Try the multiplayer if you haven't already. It's severely underrated, albeit slightly unpolished. Survivor mode is extremely fun

I definitely think there was too much combat in the DLC, or at least not enough variety with what was there. That very last section, where you are protecting Joel, went on for too long. Felt almost like a horde mode. Defeated that wave of guys? Here's 8 more!

Left Behind is pretty good, seeing what Ellie was like before she turned into the badass in the Last of Us
