Finch, was that accomplished through a browser extension or just regular checkout? My empty case is jealous

normal checkout process with the Nerd Speak extension for Chrome/Edge. all it does is allow you to see your queue timer.

yeah, those higher priced cards definitely stuck around longer than normal due to the TT paywall. a lot of people are going to try to refund it after they get their cards, but i might keep it. it's got some good benefits and you never know when the next drop might require it. it was also good to me yesterday. got 3 FE cards.

i'm officially done though until next gen releases.

I actually have a few things I bought from them that I didn't realize will now be covered by TT, so I'm going to keep it. 200/yr for the support you get from it seems solid, especially if you have several products that otherwise you'd have to pay $50/ea for extra protection plans.

I'm genuinely curious to see what the resale situation looks like when the next generation of cards are released. Worst case scenario for resale is high availability accompanied by an abandonment of LHR entirely. On the flip side, the perfect storm would be extremely restricted availability combined with the major players going full LHR across their entire lines. If there were to happen, I honestly can't even guess at the markup for used gpus from this gen.

What is the current market for previous generation cards? Might jump on the next drop of cards and grab a 3080ti since my 2080 has paid for itself already.

Depends heavily on the exact model. What do you have?

Look or it on eBay. 2080 super should be in the $600+ range.

Like Finch said, Ebay search sets your market. Particularly, you want to do an advanced search for used cards and "sold" listings. No idea whether this direct link will work to my results, but: LINK

Depending on your exact model, looks like $600-$800 is your current market price. With that said, I wouldn't actually sell it on Ebay. Too many scammers, and Ebay takes too much of a chunk. I would just take the price and list it on Facebook Marketplace for local pick up only (assuming you don't live in the middle of nowhere) and sell it that way.

This would have been good advice when I went to sell mine. Got 590 for it. But Ebay fees.....yikes.

Did you list it as an auction? That's another big mistake

I actually like dealing on eBay rather then Facebook most times. Don't have to deal with shoddy buyers that ghost you and I don't have to leave my house. Sure you there are fees, but you should be getting more for it on eBay then you could locally

Yes, auction. I'm a newb to this so I guess mistakes will be made. It was a used card and I was hoping to recoup what I paid. Fail. Oh well, lesson learned.

Alrighty I got my shiny new 3080 TI and now I have an issue.

(Note: I also replaced my MOBO, dunno if that could affect it but I don't see how.)

My monitor is 240hz and on my 2070 Super I could set my refresh rate as such, but now I'm capped at 144hz. Any clues as to why or how to fix it?

Using display port and not HDMI, so that shouldn't be the issue.

EDIT: Nevermind. Literally just unplugged and plugged it back in. Boom. Fixed.
