i'm still waiting for an old school final fantasy game in terms of look

castles, wizards and fricking air ships

anyway. 10 and 6 are my gold standard, so would i like this?

i'm choosing between replaying Mario galaxy, starting skyrim or starting FFXV

I haven't even really went into the story at all. I've just been hunting and etc trying to level up and collect Gil early. Xbox one or PS4?

Want to pick this up but I suspect a PC port incoming, think I might just stick it out a couple months and see.

Nice to see a FF liked by the fans and reviewed well again.

It's not your 10 and 6 as far as style and combat.. again; I'm not too far yet but I have heard some grumblings about magitek troopers in a restaurant and I see on my skill spheres that there's some chocobo related things.. honestly. I'm like you; I prefer the traditional but I've been having a really good time with this one so far.

well I guess 13 was made to be a lot like 10 and I fricking hated it

I really liked 12 and that wasn't turn based combat.

combat isn't a huge deal to me, in fact it's one of those things that needed to fricking go, but in terms of ambiance...the music, the look, the feel...is it final fantasy?

is it closer to 13 or 10. 13 being a huge piece of fricking shite and 10 being a fricking masterpiece I sunk 150 hours into

I put 13 down without ever finishing but I've played 10 and 6 many times; and especially since you're not a turn based combat advocate.. I think you'll like this.

I hadn't looked much into the lore or backstory at first.. but apparently there's a not so good empire.. you're a prince setting off on his journey with his kings guard which I wasn't expecting just seeing visuals from the game but it all blends well so far in my opinion. So I think you'll find your elements there you're looking for. Truly their tag line "final fantasy for old and new gamers" or whatever works because it really seems to be a good blend.

I just bought Skyrim not long ago cuz I've never played it either; at 2 hours into each game I'm picking FFXV each time.

Edit: Not to say Skyrim was bad but this just seems more likeable to me; but also maybe I hadn't delved too far into what makes Skyrim great either.

well skyrim has 2 strikes in this comparison

1. it's freaking 20000000 hours long if you want it to be

2. it's coming out on switch which is the only real way I can play a game that long (handheld) without getting served divorce papers PLUS if it's true they're delaying the release of Zelda, i'll want an adventure to play on my new switch

when you say that, you're reminding me what a time sink skyrim may be.

Did you notice all my nondefinitive statements lol? This is what I fear. But really though; your tastes sound like mine and I think you're gonna like it.

...think.

Skyrim is over rated and brain numbingly easy.

well i'm joking of course. if I waste 60 bucks I don't freak out. I just trade it in, ain't no thang

i'm not a cheap gamer at all. I don't think vidya games and consoles are really all that super duper expensive. but then again, I don't really spend money on anything other than my house.

I played the one before it and freaking loved it

problem was I was a vampire and I came out of one of those flame vaginas from the oblivion realm and I was in the middle of nowhere and it was morning. I had no previous saves, so I pretty much quit right there

Yeah.. oblivion didn't really hold your hand or help you at all.

My,skyrim experience comes from the 2011 release. I don't know what the "remastered" version contains.

I did play a lot of skyrim and it was fun but it eventually becomes way too easy and the story isn't good enough to care.

first person games are a bit out of my wheelhouse, but after loving the fricking shite out of the Metroid prime series late summer/early fall, I feel that i'm ready for some skyrim.

it's far enough outside of what i'm used to that a lower difficulty won't be noticed by me
