Yeah Epic is great. They have to give away free (old, but good) games to even try and keep up with Steam that in the mean time is getting MS/Xbox games, former PS only games, and now EA games. Epic is trash.

I would add that as a plus if it wasn’t as a detriment to their customers. It is very clear Epic uses that developer money spin as a crutch to boost their platform to the casual crowd that isn’t invested in the details.

If you’ve been in any kind of business worth a damn you know that the customers always come first and Epic does not operate by that business model. They do not care and won’t until they’re at least on somewhat of an equal footing with steam. And I guarantee you if Valve ever releases Source 2 or Half Life 3 that the epic store will take a hit. Fortnite is the only reason the epic store was able to become a thing in the first place and it won’t live forever. At least in a popular sense as it was at launch. Their launcher is buggy as shite and doesn’t give you any information that steam does. The user interface is terrible and their servers are arse to boot. And that’s not bias either. The GTAV giveaway fried their servers.

All in all, you can call me an elitist but Epic is for casuals and the type of people that cancel free trials after 7 days.
