I really like Orsinium as well, its a big DLC. Great gear abroad and in the arena. The world bosses are beast as well and leveling is pretty fast not Craglorn fast but fast.

The dumbest part of the game, is still having to farm houses for the books to create other armors. Once you open one up, it should be good for any server.

Bosses should drop them. I'm level 21 and only have 2(kajit-nord), and i've wasted 2 hours farming a house.

And this is what they force you 2 do.

Even with the many hours of playing, i've never found more than 5 of the armor books. it's silly.

Also, when farming a house, you get stuff that is 100% useless in the game, and does nothing to help you, ur house, nothing. Just crap.

I have at least 1 extra copy of almost every crafting style in my bank. If you're EUR I'll send them to you, not sure if I can send away from EUR, never tried. My looting, xp, and chests all have passives that help when I'm exploring. Im pretty sure I get most from backpacks and urns. Catacombs are always big find areas and sometimes world bosses. Hope that helps

there is no doubt, that craiglorn has had the most soul gems used on it's lands.

it's a freakin cluster.

I'm free wheeling at level 21, and everything is 10x tougher than any other lands. i tried the areas with the red soul gem in middle 2 times. Instant death.

No wonder they call 70% of the land group areas. yikes, trying to farm some guts for fishing by the Dwarven ruin, rkhardark. luckily, this areas has just goblins and a few ogres. Obviously there is a quest here, because i see dead daedra, and the fools are eating their eggs.

I'm on Eu Server on xbone. no one was on NA server, and EU server is 10x better. I spent many hours on it before going to NA.

I'll send you some stuff later tonight when I'm on. Where do I send it? I'll help you when you like. I just got to my champion points on my Warden. I was with a group of British guys in Skyrim clearing a world boss when my character went from level 49 to 511, the guys with me hit the floor lol, they didn't realize I wasn't new till then I guess

Always log out near a stable master if you can, buying those perks every time you log in is very helpful. Adding to your mount is huge. My main character are both straight mules since I added all 60 points to carry capacity my character now has 200 inventory capacity. Cheapest way to increase inventory and farm more

researching opens up special effects you can put on armor(added armor, less stamina, etc)

destruction gives you back stuff and the stones you can use for those effects.

make sure to put some points in the last 3 dealios in woodworking, blacksmithing, etc

it's a learning process for crafting, i had to watch a video, because i couldnt figure out how to craft using the stones that advance ur armor/weapons to next level. I had none of the stones and couldnt figure out why i couldnt improve anything.

I'll get it to you. Then you'll have my info for any time you need help and I'm on. I'm currently running my new Warden named Aulds. My son plays with one named Joe Christian, a DK. Be aware of him, he's 8 and a madman tank, completely fearless lol. I'm constantly cleaning his inventory for him

Funny coincidence seeing this thread tonight lol. My cousin texted me tonight asking if I had ever played and told him no. He went on about how fun it was etc. I remember being excited when it came out and then saw all of the complaints so never tried it. After reading this thread I'm now downloading it for tomorrow lol
Haven't really gotten into an mmo since WoW years ago.
Trying to decide on class tonight. I just bought the base game for now, toyed with spending the extra 30 for morrowind but decided to wait to make sure I was going to stick with it

What class, if it matters, is easiest to solo in the beginning? I know he has a dragonknight so I was probably leaning to Nightblade or sorcerer

Sorcerer is probably easiest. Warden is pretty easy as well if you get Morrowind later

Its a lot better from launch. Loads of fun now.

I like and play a nightblade due to stealth. But these sorcs i see around with all their spells look cool too.

if ur going to try the game out, better off just doing the monthly eso subscription.

then you get all the DLC with it, and a lot of bonuses with it(exp boosts, etc). You dont get morrowind, its an expansion pack, not dlc(lol).

this way u decide u dont like it, u can stop the monthly subscription, and not worry about paying 30ish for morrowind dlc.

Seeek, those red crystal areas you are referring to are open world bosses lol, they are pretty tough. I'm about to hit lvl 500 and they can be a bitch to solo unless you have a good build/gear. Craglorn is pretty much all meant to be group content. At higher levels you can solo almost all of it, however.

As far as gear research goes, the way it works for crafting, certain sets require that you have a certain number of traits researched to be able to craft it. For instance, some sets require you to have only a couple traits researched, some require 9 (9 is the max amount of traits in the game). Your first traits will only take a day to research, then you can do the next. As you research more, the time to complete it increases. The 9th trait alone takes a full month to complete, so start doing research on every item as soon as you can. Focus on the pieces that you know you will need. At first you can only research one piece of each armor/weapon type at a time. Putting skill points into each crafting line will allow you to do up to 3 at a time. This is not really necessary unless you want to be a crafter; any crafted item can be traded, so you can just have someone make it for you if you would rather put your skill points elsewhere. Just be prepared to pay someone to make it.

Same thing with mount upgrades. You can increase your mount speed by 60%, +60 bag space, and 60% mount stamina, but you can only put a single point into any given stat per day. Max out speed first, then bag space, then stamina. All stamina does is reduce the chance that you get dismounted by being hit by an enemy.

As for a good leveling class, they are all doable solo. I am a bit biased as I main a magicka templar. As a Templar your main DPS skill is also a massive self heal, in addition to damage shields, AoE damage that also heals/cleanses, and AoE damage reduction. On top of that insane survivability you can also do a shite ton of damage. Templars also have the best execute ability in the game, by far....the Jesus Beam. Such a fun class to play. If you aren't interested in being a pure DPS, Templars are also the best healers in the game if you spec into it, while still being able to pump out some decent DPS.
