Tournament of Power is pretty good.
Some of the Zamasu stuff was cool, I didn't like the Future Trunks stuff in Super too much.

How is this game so far? Last DBZ game I played was Xenoverse, which I did enjoy. Wasn't a great game or anything, but it was fun.
How does this compare as far as the fighting mechanics and everything are concerned?

Z ended after Buu saga. Most Z games go up to the end of that arc.

This flow chart thing I looked it didn't show it going up to the Buu Saga.

Update: you can buy/sell at the capsule at Bulma’s cave, and being able to take items mid fight makes this game super easy

Raditz has been kicking my arse. I accidentally used the health potion Bulma gave me in the first encounter, so now I don't have any. I can get him to about 90% down, but he gets one last blow on me every time and trips through an absurd amount of my health.

I'm still playing it, but I don't think Kakarot is objectively a good game. The open world is fun to fly around in for 10 minutes but there's nothing in it.
the side quests are almost all go here and kill x or collect x of y.
I'm not sure what the point of the leveling/party system is considering for about 90% of the game, you are locked into specific characters. There isn't a lot of character customization beyond making moves you already have stronger.
The way that you do so is pretty dumb as well. When flying through the map you collect different colored orbs which are used to purchase skill upgrades.
It's the best way to experience the DBZ story outside of the actual show though.
