I've played it on both PC and PS5 so have a little experience with both. Although I almost always prefer mouse & keyboard for these types of games, once you get used to the controller it works just fine. Just be prepared for a little awkwardness at first. Bringing up the important menus involves holding one of the trigger buttons down then moving the stick where you want. After a little while though the controls become second nature.
