Can anyone recommend a decent quality headset with mic for xbox one? It'd be nice if I could also use the headset for TV audio other than xbox. My budget is about $100.

Can't say I have much experience with headsets but I love this Hyper X Cloud one I got a few months ago. I use it for my computer and xbone. Your controller need the 3.5mm jack or you have to get the adapter also though. Comfortable to me and at least to this point has shown no signs of wearing down.

Like someone else said, add $25-30 to whatever the cost of your headset is, because you'll need the stereo adapter for the controller with any headset that isn't the standard one that comes with the Xbox. And headsets frequently go on sale on Amazon, so if you have the time, watch a few of the highest rated headsets in your price range and you're bound to get one on sale within a few weeks
