Once I figured out the layout, dukes archives ceased to bother me.
I'm actually looking forward to it. That's where some awesome sorcery spells are located.

Screw o&s. I honestly believe there are some bosses you aren't supposed to beat solo unless you are way overpowered.
I'm at a point where I think I should start over. My pyromancer is underpowered with no hope of leveling up my flame again. Stuck in the middle of a dex/pyro/str build. Decent at everything but not good enough at anything to win battles. EVerytime I get smough to half health they attack like crazy. I'm screwed. I don't wanna summon but might have to

I've been helping out all sorts of randoms with that boss as a means of generating souls, so I guess I can squeeze you in.
ETA: just bought me a washing pole
meh, gonna have to bump my stats from 14 str and dex to 20 and 16 respectively. Wish I would have seen that before I made it a +13.

So I summoned not one but TWO phantoms to help with O&S. Not only did thy do NOTHING, but rather than help with O&S they decided to get their asses kicked by the giant guards in the halway. RUN PAST THEM DUMBASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the time they traversed the light they were barely a distraction for O&S. I actually fared better solo as a hollow.

Okay so I think I about to do a major soul farm run.
Start a firelink fight all the way up to the bell tower then ride the elevator down and begin again. Rinse & repeat until i have aquired all the souls to:
A) purchase and level up all pyromancy
B) aquire all healing miracles
C) Level up and purchase all weapons needed
D) Level up stats at least +5 across the board (well this might not actually happen because it would take an enormous amount of time.)
E) Kill Havel
F) Get the Rusty Ring from the prison where you started by going back.
This is all prior to going to the swamps for the second bell.

Update on my shite:
I only had a little time last night to play, but I did the depths and made quick work of the Gaping Dragon. I actually died on the first try because I forgot to kill the fricking channeler on the balcony.

Yeah that helps a lot when your running around dual wielding ... just pop over to the pyro when you're in a jam with a tough opponent or boss FTW.

I think I'm going to start over b/c I want to do things much differently, but there are a few bosses I really hate and might need a summon. Trying to get a few Dark Souls players on my friend's list so I have people to summon when Dark Souls 2 drops
