Wait until you kill either O or S.
You get a nice surprise.
Here is a hint: only focus on one, because the status of the others health doesn't matter until the first one falls.

Well it isn't much of a surprise now!
I'd already heard about how one absorbs the others health and power though. That's just wrong

That's my conundrum. I want his ring now. And I don't care for his armor.
But I don't like doing things cheaply (except when slaying the Hellkite). I'll probably end up waiting then hunting him down.
But that ring...

Yeah man I dual wield ... usaully I start with scimitar's. Curved swords and some katana used in the off hand allow you to parry then I usually have a broadsword/katana that allows you to peform piercing moves.
As back ups I usually have a spear(added range) and a small shield like the target shield or buckler to help with parrying and blocking arrrow attacks.
The dual wield is a wierd build to make. First it makes going through the hollows and lesser beings easy and as I stated before you feel like spartacus carving through butter when facing these guys. Where it becomes dicey is facing bosses, but if you summon a tank like character to come in and help you all is good.
It just takes time & alot of souls to get your character to where he needs to be with making sure your weapons are at max potential and leveling has been acounted for in the right spots & remember with dual wielding SPEED is essential.
Weapons I'd suggest would be:
Washing Pole - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10
Iaito - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10
Uchigatana - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10
Drake Sword - Regular/+5
Astora's Straight Sword - Regular/+5
Scimitar - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10
Falchion - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10
Winged Spear - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10
Silver Knight Straight Sword - Regular/+5
Jaggerd Ghost Blade - Regular/+5
*** Murakumo - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10***
Black Knight Halberd - Regular/+5
Black Bow of Pharis - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10
Then maybe use a weapon buff on top on normal weapon damage ~ i.e.:
Darkmoon Blade
Possible shields to use:
*** Buckler - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10***
*** Target Shield - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10***
*** Iron Round Shield - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10***
Crest Shield - Regular/+5
Dragon Crest Shield - Regular/+5
*** Grass Crest Shield - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10***
Silver Knight Shiled - Regular/+5
Black Knight Shield - Regular/+5
*** Sanctus - Regular/+15 ~ Lightning/+5 ~ Fire/+10***
*** using a crystal reenforcement would be good to use as well***
Now these are only suggestions and there are many ways to play and many different weapons to use. but for me dual wielding these seem to be the best weapons to use IMO.
And remember there are many different combinations you can use as well so keep this in mind when trying to decide what weapons to use.
I know TL;DR but still

I'm considering making a move to the silver knight sword and tossing a upgrades on it, then use magic weapon.
I need something other than drake sword. It's at +3 and just not doing much anymore. Even if I take a bit of a drop off at first, I need to switch

My Mage has a +4 lightning uchigatana. I was hoping it would help me wipe out the four kings. No luck yet.
I'm thinking that I just need to start padding the hell out of my vitality stat. Or I could summon in a tank phantom, bit no luck on that front yet either.

Personally I like the Washing Pole & Iaito more than the Uchigatana. Essentially the Washing Pole is a bigger Uchi with greater range but less durability.
After the weapons are fully upgraded don't forget to pad you strength & dexterity stats because they directly affect your damage delt.
And remember with these builds you are looking for counter attacks, parrys, backstabs or whatever other way you can find advantage but you can't play like a tank and just run in there and beat him to death it's more of an art form than that. Weapon buffs are great add ons as well.

I'm finding that the real fun in this game comes from trying and upgrading weapons and doing different things to see what works best for you. Like any rpg I guess but it seems more fun and in depth in this one. Maybe I'm just a noob.
I've gotten so pissed at this game the past few days but can't stop playing

Yep without a doubt you're right. Other RPGs you get bogged down with the little things ... in Dark Souls there is just the fight.

It can really fustrate you to the point you want to break a TV but it still draws you back in no matter how mad you got, that's quite amazing if you ask me.
Easiest way to make it through DS IMO is to strength build use a Greatsword or something similar and add a little pyromancy and it's smooth sailing from there well at least in DS terms that is
But that is essentially the nOOb build to me.

Yeah, I figured the uchigatana wasn't the best bet.
I was in a rush to get myself primed up for another fight and it was more expedient to kill the undead merchant and take his sword rather than join a new covenant and generate 20k souls to buy a sword.
I'll definitely look into the washing pole though.
I think ultimately, it will come down to memorizing the moveset of those bastard kings. I will never be armored up enough to go toe to toe with this build.
It would be easier if I went ahead and opened up the duke's archives so I could access Big Hat Logan's crystal sorceries, but I want to be darkwraith. It creates complications.

Nope. You Won't.
Like I said it's more of an art form against the bosses and memorization as well.

This build works great against humans especially the big slow kind.

Yeah I used the Uchi for most of the game so far but recently switched to the Quelaag Furysword and got it to+5.
Damm that took a lot of demon titanite.
BUt this thing is fast as lightning and does some real damage with a high dexterity.

the Quelaag's Furysword is pretty nasty ... question is there any enemy that doesn't take fire damage?

Yes sir, thats the one. The added waves of fire it leaves when you swing it arent too shabby either.

I thought after you invade and kill the golden knight you got his armor? I got a ring, firekeeper soul, and humanity. What gives?

Walk along the balcony around the bonfire before the lady with huge boobies. Its on a body by the windows.
And then go back to the cave where the firelink lady was to restore her. Dont use that firekeeper soul!

Maybe I already got it? What's it called?
Once I killed him they sent me back to my world so I couldn't look around
Great Chaos Fireball and Fire Orb made quick work of his crew. It was doing ok on O&S too till I got cornered

No, its not in his world. Go to the bonfire called right before where you got the Lord Vessel, it will be around that area.
