I refuse to get a PSP just for that game so I'm still waiting for a PSP emulator that can run it well.

I finally have a chance to play it with a PSP emulator on the PC, thing is buggy but it works for the most part. See I am different from you in that the battle sequences with the leveling up, limit breaks and materia levels feel like it is so random. Not very far along in it, but I like the training sequences and you control how much you want to train before you start the next missions. Love FF7 so went through a lot of pain to get that PSP emulator to work, probably should have just borrowed my buddies.

I can try to help, found some forums and that lead me in the right direction, but the FPS still drop randomly. Let me know if you are interested and we can get in contact with each other.

I've read up on all that stuff, but I don't want to play it until it will run smoothly. Cutscenes were terrible when I tried to play it. Thanks, though.

How are VII and VIII on the PSP? Do they run just like they did on the PS1? I assume the load times are better since they are downloads.

Yeah I love em. My only beef is those games weren't made for gaming on the go. So saving your game can be impossible sometimes haha

Load times are better since you're not loading from a disc, but it's not a giant improvement. Still, they run super well on PSP (as do all of the PS Classics).

Ugh. This brings back memories. The first time I played FFVII, I did so on an IBM with a 166 MHz processor. It only ran the game at half-speed so getting to save points was a nightmare sometimes.

Also, that computer crashed on me right before my return to Midgar. I wasn't about to play it again on that computer so it was a year or so later when I finally got a PS1 and got to play it again. At the time that computer crashed, it was probably the most traumatic thing that had ever happened to me.

Still blows my mind that they will remake all these other FF's but won't cash in on the cash cow that is 7
