Do you all keep your old console boxes? Is there any benefit to keeping it other than memorabilia? Trying to clean out my closet and I still have my Xbox one and PS4 box.

The only old console box I have is my N64 one for some reason. I also have my original oldschool Gameboy and Gameboy Advance SP boxes, but those are obviously much smaller. I actually wish I had kept the others.

Retro game collectors love stuff that comes with the boxes. Just looking at ebay real fast, an NES that comes CIB looks to cost about double what a loose NES costs. The boxes are more rare than the actual systems. Everyone kept the system, very few kept the box.

If you also kept all the inner packaging along with the box, it would make a great storage container for your system if you ever decided you wanted to shelve it.

Outside of that, there's no tangible benefit to having the box, I mean, it's just a cardboard box.

I have my ps4 pro box and switch box just for convivence if I have to bring them out of town for anything. Easy to just lug them around in those.

Guilty. Have a PS1, SNES and Orig Xbox.

I really need to recycle them all, none have been used in over a decade now.
