I like the idea behind the lawsuit, because we all know the 2k NFL games were already better than Madden before they bought the rights, so they could be depriving us of better NFL games. It's just that what they are claiming is untrue.

There's that. I don't think any of this is worth a law suit, even if I don't agree with EA's ethics. I can accept that profit is king, but I don't have to like it when greed forces me to reminisce about NFL 2K5.

EA was smart to enter in the exclusive licenses because the NFL 2K series had become better than Madden. I wish 2K Sports could still make a NFL game.

It's a monopolistic practice... they have a good case. I am actually glad they filed because it could kill the exclusive licenses.

seeing how i don't speak "lawyer", what should i do? i just got the email an hour or so ago.
If you want the share in their settlement, do nothing. If you want to sue them yourself, you need to opt out.

There are other games on the market--Blitz, Backbreaker, Maximum Football, etc. So what if you don't get the real teams and players? In some cases you just have to do the work to customize the game to your liking.
You have no idea how anti-trust laws work do you?
