I hope you all are doing this, but it is a great idea to do the dungeons whenever you can with ONLY the heros attacking. do it on a low enough level that your heros can attack the whole thing and survive. It is easy XP for them to grow.
btw, i got my lvl 60 assassin to lvl 4 today. he can now grow to 80. thunder god and assassin are clutch. but not as clutch as that damn owl thing

easy xp grind.
and you don't waste any of your troops for attacking players.
also, you get a few of those shards (im up to 100, lol) with a retardedly bad drop rate.

I have my executioner at 61 now, archer 60, assassin 60, cyclops 33, shaman 41, healer 40

i think mine are now 73 archer bitch (katniss), 71 MC hammer, 63 Thor, 63 Cyclops (only used in duels till Michael J fox gets past 60. currently at 54 i think) and 60 assassin. i have quite a few in the 30-50 range too that are used to garrison my towers.
i will level them eventually.

Logging in daily, completing arenas, and doing the free gems and then using gems to get hero's
Oh and you can add more just not use them in battles till you add more hero bases to your base

I've got 3 hero bases set up. Do I just have to keep paying the 150 gems to hopefully get a hero instead of the slime or blue things?
ETA: I see that if I can get like 40 shards I can get a hero as well, so I guess just go through the dungeouns and try and find the shards there?

Correct, I finished all of the first dungeons and 3* each and ended with 0 shards but second one has dropped a couple. Also correct on gems for hero's, the slimes are great because they improve the hero and I get more than I want as well

Yeah I tried on a couple, plus once you get X amount of free gems you can get a free hero

Doing 10 a day gives you gems and doing them and failing still gives you 6 hero points (the gold coin things) that are used to upgrade hero's

Is there a way to re-direct heros or other attacking pieces? I hate watching them go after a building when they are being destroyed by like 15-20 attackers.

Is there any advantage to adding friends? And can they attack your base as well? Sorry for all the questions.. I'm new so just trying to get up to speed.
