We wandered into his area one time and couldn't for the life of us figure out how we were getting hit. We weren't on that mission so not even looking for it. Died of course. Took us a couple of tries to get him.

I was a soldier so I had no way to bring it down by myself. Had to recruit a few buddies to keep him occupied with a vehicle while I unloaded on it.

This and the final battle against Wesker at the end of RE5 rank up there as my more frustrating gaming experiences.

for some of those bosses I found a cozy spot with the vehicle and just slowly took 'em down with machine guns

Playing it through for my first time right now. Bought it a while back and have been slowing making my way through. Really fun game. Sometimes frustrating but really cool.

I really didn't like this game.
I played through some of it with a friend. It got really repetitive and frustrating (the enemies could throw an ax from across the map and hit you every time for example).
Didn't care for the story. It was a good looking game and the different guns were cool

Mothrak was easily doable solo. Kite him to the nearby vehicle station and pop out from under cover to load a clip into him and jump back udner while he attacks and recharge your shields.

I held off that mission until I was around level 30 and beat him pretty easily using a high accuracy shotgun (don't remember which one).
