I'm assuming to start a guild you need a pretty big collection of silver stored up so you can pay its members?

Guessing that's a big reason we haven't started a TD guild yet since everyone here basically just started. We're all trying to set up our silver earning network.

Pretty much. You need a foothold in a lot of areas to be stable enough to support a guild. I've decided to go the fishing route, while it appears others have gone the breeding route. One thing I want to look into is setting up a network of workers to gather materials for crafting.

What do we know about the crafting system? Business has been crazy so I haven't had any time to be in game. If it's a good crafting system I'll be happy to be a guild crafter. If it's a crappy system I'll do something else.

I'm working on my ship building. Currently about 4 planks away from having my Ferry built. I'm enjoying the shite out of crafting.

You hire workers to do things for you, harvest/craft but you can also join them with certain tasks regarding harvesting/crafting. I'll go out and chop wood/mine things just to keep my skills up but also to supplement my workers, they aren't bringing back huge hauls yet (gotta invest energy in to leveling the node)

When I'm not crafting I like to take my boat out and do some fishing quests. I'm still just level 20 and haven't done much leveling after getting to Heidel way too early and going back to Velia to focus on workers/crafting.

im getting into cooking and will prob spend most of my days investing in bank slots to hold ingedients lol. Prob will wait a week and see how the blader/plums do in PvP before I decide to use my last slot on one. I have a feeling they will be easy to manage with a little CC and range attack.

Everything I've heard is there's no rush to get to max level

From what I've seen the best thing about getting to max level is it opens some awesome areas to mob farm for a lot of silver.

I completely quit grinding levels after level 23. I've gone from level 23 to 29 strictly from passive exp from fishing.

Apparently grinding mobs is the best way to gain silver

Fishing is a top 3 way tho

It has an obtuse and not very clear learning curve, so be prepared.

But once you start figuring it out and adding things together it's a blast.

Also realize the game is geared mostly towards pvp and professions.

There are no instanced raids to speak of. I've read where they may add raids later on. There are world bosses people can join up to take down, not much strategy involved though.

If you like the idea of a sandbox pvp based mmo with player housing and an emphasis on using professions to make money, BDO is right up your alley.

Pets are a must have imo. One of the only things worth spending money in the cash shop for.

Their ability to pick up mob loot, locate resources, mobs, or other players in pvp is invaluable. Currently have both Hawks and the German Shepherd. Will be buying a cat soon as well for its resource perk.
