Private servers will happen

TD gaming board server anyone? I'd level a tank.

This is probably the only way I'd play. Getting into MMOs solo is stupid.

I don't get why private servers would be considered a bad thing.

Depends on what aspects of the game you miss out on.

the pro Trump stuff all over Tamriel was so odd. zoning into capital cities felt like a trump rally in oklahoma city at times.

I'm assuming with private servers, you can control who's in the game with you and cut down on the griefing everyone is worried about.

This won't be anything like a MMO.

Why even bring it into the conversation.

They are using it as examples of how Bethesda is ruining their favorite series. ESO happened, hence we didn't get a new traditional Elder Scrolls game. Never mind they've branched out in so many other series.

Bringing a series online does seem to be the death of that series. This complaint isn't unfounded. The biggest 3 being:

Warcraft
GTA
Elder Scrolls

I'm sure there are others.

Death of the series? Gta V is one of the most successful games in history. So is WoW. I highly doubt we are at the end of the Grand theft auto line. And blizzard was smart to get out of RTS's at the time they did. I refuse to believe a rts warcraft would actually sell like hotcakes. People just really aren't playing Rts like they are playing other types of games anymore. And when it comes down to it these are business's designed to make money. Also I realize it's years away but Bethesda said a couple of years ago they weren't touching a new elder scrolls rpg until they could actually build it the way they wanted to with no limitations on the engine. Which is why it's so far off.

Believe he means in the sense of it not resembling the previous installations those games derived.

Edt: I agree, but for better and worse.

It seems to mean new installments won't be coming around much anymore.

I didn't say they weren't successful, but most of us aren't interested in giving our whole lives to an online game.

The production schedules have clearly slowed down since those series went online. That's not an opinion.

Bethesda has been saying for years they wanted to flex different muscles and make different games. Thats why we are getting Fallout 76 and Starfield.

I dont really know about GTA but there was 5 years inbetween 4 and 5 and its just now reaching 5 years since GTA V was released. I would imagine they also just wanted to make different games.
