Best way to pay for xbox live?

Well apparently this free trial thing doesn't last forever. Lasted just long enough to get me addicted like it's supposed to.
How do yall pay for this? I'm not too crazy about giving my credit card number to my xbox considering I get all kinds of crap emails from people on it and shite. TIA.
