Best local multiplayer games for Nintendo switch?

My son got a Nintendo switch for his birthday last month and he has Mario kart 8. He loves when we play against each other on call of duty. I was going to get him some switch games for Christmas. I was going to get him splatoon 2 but it doesn’t have local multiplayer just online only. What are some good local multiplayer games for the switch? Do they have any good shooting games that offer that?

I don't know of any local competitive FPS's on the Switch, but these are all local co-op games I've had fun playing with my kids:
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
Overcooked (and a sequel just came out)
