Just got a new PC and wanted to test the graphics capabilities out of curiosity.

3Dmark is good for general graphics benchmark and quick-testing overclocks. I like unigine valley for observing frame times and other hiccups that are hard to catch in the quick 3dmark runs.

Damn true. I've stop running them these last 2yrs and in that time Valley has become popular.

LSUToo is spot on.

The problem with furmark is that it's not a method of performance measurement. It's designed to maximize heat and power draw by stressing the hell out of one aspect of a GPU. Running the same rendering algorithms over and over isn't a good test of overall performance or even overclock stability other than making sure heat isn't an issue. I do use it on occasion to test the performance of my waterblocks when I first buy them. Other than that, at best, it's like testing your overall strength by trying to push a car uphill with the parking break on. At worst, it's like testing your heart by smoking a bunch of meth.
