Arguably it’s Sephiroth but that’s a lame option. Imo it’s a toss up between hell house and Eligor

Sephiroth and Hell House, especially on hard difficulty. Worst are either Leviathan or Bahamut.

Leviathon is terrible I’ll give you that.
It’s basically impossible without manaward, Bahamaut isn’t bad if you have the dps to stagger him before mega flare. I think all the last boss rush encounters are all strong save the motorcycle boss. Especially on hard mode. Rufus is amazing but if you know to use braver on him you can cheese him easily. Both turk bosses and their duo fight in chapter 12 are both awesome. The game is full of awesome boss fights

Yeah, that's my main problem with Bahamut. I usually don't take Tifa with me since Leviathan is a pain without Barret and Aerith, granted I think Mana Ward is sufficient enough with Leviathan, but without Barret it takes waaaaay longer. And since I don't take Tifa, my staggering potential is not as great.

I started a replay of this recently since I got it on a good sale on EGS a month or so ago but haven't played much recently. I remember enjoying the Rufus fight but what about Braver makes the fight easy? I am asking b/c I don't really remember.

Agreed. Air Buster is a pretty cool fight too since you can debuff it in any way you want or decide not to and make it almost impossible to deal with.

If you asses him it’ll tell you an attack has the ability to do that but doesn’t say which one.
Tifa is the most OP character idk why you would ever leave her out. I never debuffed air buster on hard just used barrier. What can you use? Poison works? Slow?

Ah lol. See, stuff like this is why I really liked FF7R. They did such a good job mixing the new combat with old hidden stuff. Can't wait to see how they eventually handle the Ruby/Emerald/Ultima Weapon fights.

By debuff I meant like how you can slow it down/lower frequency of the bombs and other attacks when you collect those keycards in the various labs.
