Turtle Rock developed the first Left 4 Dead and some of L4D 2 so I have high hopes. I actually enjoyed Evolve and still play the single player from time to time but yea it had so many problems.

Alright so I hope to get early access to the open beta from registering months back... preorders get guaranteed early access..

August 5 - 9 is early access period and August 12 - 16 is regular open beta.

Don't really see any point to preorder this game at all, but hoping the beta doesn't suck. Movement looks stiff in some videos of the game, but heard that is from alpha footage.

I got some random email from Intel about registering for an early access beta key, and sure enough it worked and I just got one!

I really hope this doesn't flop... or become the next Evolve. I have hopes because it is crossplay and this is the kind of game that will have staying power on consoles. I could see the PC crowd dwindling off but it won't matter with crossplay.

Only downside is at this time there is not a PvP in which the Ridden are controlled by humans and human Cleaners can go through the campaign and face real people as the enemy types... just some dumb PvP swarm mode and regular PvE. And the fact it has a $90 and $100 edition is pretty off-putting. So they have already factored in a $30 Annual Pass and who knows how long before any new content actually drops after release.

**Wonder why that link says the keys cannot be redeemed until the beta starts August 5? I redeemed my key as you can see from my screenshot since it's in my library.
