It's crossed my mind a few times but it just looks kinda shitty to me, I loved the games when I was a kid but I worry the controls and stuff would just get lame to me now

Once I'm finished with uncharted I'll get it.

Anytime I ever see anything regarding wrestling games it makes me wonder why they don't just keep making games with similar controls to the Nintendo 64 games. So simple yet so smooth and fun.

or the simplistic fun of Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain. Modern WWE games strive so hard to re-create the feel of an actual WWE match which is a mistake in and of itself given how neutered and boring the product has been for years. Then you have the overly complicated, convoluted, QTE-ridden control scheme where you feel like you're watching cutscenes more than you're playing.

It's much, much better than last year. 2K15 felt like they released an unfinished game. They've added back most of the game modes they took out and greatly expanded the creative suite back to what it once was.

The pace of the matches has slowed down even more so it feels like a much more like what you'd see on TV. It has its flaws, but it's solid enough.

I can't speak to the career mode yet, however.

Blame the message boards for that realism striving pursuit, and that's with any sports game in general

Two best wrestling games ever...

The WCW game on N64

WWF Smackdown: Just Bring It on the PS2 We did a 4 man ladder match with no time limit that lasted hours. One of the best gaming experiences I have ever had

Game has been super fun so far. I decided to just get it and it has been the most fun in a wrestling game ive had in years! Tons of customizations you can do. Plus huge roster. I personally hate the stamina system so I turned it off and it made the game perfect for me, even speeds the match style up a bit as well, not so slow paced. I gove the game a 9/10, still some flaws but alot of stuff is cleaned up.

The gameplay is miles better than 2K. Reversals are harder to pull off, and the pace is much improved. The new submission system is insanely hard for me, though.

The pin and submission minigames are awful. I'm loosing matches not because I've failed to do more damage than my opponent but because I can't figure out the minigame.

Also, I have the same issue with showcase mode that I did with WWE 2K15. Completing the objectives more important than winning the match. You will loose matches trying to jump through all the game's hoops when you could've pinned the guy 10 minutes ago.
