As far as reds go, I am partial to Pinot Noirs. Morgan 12 Clones has so far been my favorite. It's about $12/glass at restaurants or about $30-35 in stores.
My absolute favorite red is a Shiraz from Tulloch winery in Australia, but it's not available here.
As far as whites go, I really like Cakebread Chardonnay. However, at $45/bottle it's not drinkable on an everyday basis. I also like Chloe Chardonnay and Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio.
I'd like to hear some of your favorites, as I would like to add to my collection.

Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio.
I was stationed in Italy 1994-97 and Santa Margherita was 5000 lira (about $3.00) It's crazy to see it for $25 in stores now. It's a delicious pinot grigio though. Very crisp.

For red: I prefer Pinot Noir but not for a daily since I’ve read to stay away from cheaper ones. Mostly drink Cabernet - no particular favorite but have found myself buying Columbia Winery the most.
For white: Mostly drink Sauvignon Blanc or unoaked Chardonnay if I can find it. No particular favorite brand. Favorite white right now though is Inama Soave Classico...hard to find in stores but very good.

Hands down Syrah/Shiraz or anything similar. Love Grenache, Tempranillo, and various red blends with any of the above.
If I do white, it’s Sauvignon Blanc.
Favorite brand/specific wine is Angels and Cowboys Propriety Red. They have it at Kalurah.
