Anyone have one? I used mine for the first time tonight and it is AWESOME. I only cut myself once.

Ceramic knives are horrible things. Well maybe it would be ok for certain kind of slicing duties, but if you put any force on one and the ceramic knife hits anything remotely sharp, it now has a chip that will last the life of the blade.
Knives shouldn't be such fragile things.

We were very careful with ours then after dinner wife noticed a chip in the blade. Is the sharp ceramic piece in our leftovers, did we ingest it? Seems like it could harm you, so I threw the damn thing away. If they are that fragile I don't want to be eating razor chips.

My ceramic knife has a couple of small chips and still cuts better than most any other knife. way better considering that I never have to sharpen it.
Of course it has been about two years so I am thinking about getting another one to hold its place while I send it back to get sharpened for free.
just don't cut bone or i-beams and you should be safe.
eta, from what I have gathered the yoshi blade is inferior, but that is second hand info from a co-worker.

I bought my mom a Yoshi blade for Christmas and used it to chop up onions, tomatoes, etc. for a salsa I made on NYE. I would say that it's a good knife to use for chopping veggies and fruit, but I wouldn't use it to carve a turkey or anything too crazy like the infomercial suggests.
